FAMILY AND FRIENDSHIP

If you are lucky, you are born into a family and nurtured . The nurture you receive from your family provides a foundation upon which you build your life. There is a general notion that you are indebted to your family for life do you agree with this ? or  do you think it works both ways? The relationships within the family can be complex . Like friendship it is tested over time. Sometimes the tests help forge stronger bonds and at other times they result in a breakdown.

Friendships are forged for different reasons and under varied circumstances.  In time, the nature of a friendship  becomes evident and some friends become family. The truth is, in a friendship one is always more committed than the other. Just as with the family there is a patriarch or matriarch who keeps it all together. What is your role in your family and your friendships?

You need people to share life's experiences with. They may be the family you are born into,  go on to form, or friendships you choose to establish . Hopefully these relationships provide you with love, respect, security, loyalty and much more. Do not take them for granted.   At the same time,  it is important to bear in mind that change is the only constant in nature.  Be realistic in your expectations of others  and  always remember to count your blessings.

Cherish your human connections: relationships with friends and family.
